UConn Homecoming Recap

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

This past Saturday on October 17th UConn celebrated the end of homecoming week with a football game against  the University of South Florida Bulls. Sadly, the Bulls beat the Huskies 28-20 at Rentschler Field. Before the game, students and loyal fans flocked to the stadium as early as 8 am for tailgate festivities. The weather was colder than it has been so it made for a brisk but sunny morning. Depite the loss, the student section was filled with excited Huskies eager to see their team win. Right now the Huskies have a 3-4 losing record but are looking stronger than they have in years past. At halftime, Homecoming King and Queen were annouced; Congratulations William Cheng and Haddiyyah Ali!

Due to the cold weather, Jonathan wore his extra fluffy coat to the game so he could stay warm while cheering on his team.

I am from a small New Hampshire town you have probably never heard of before. I am always active and on the go, soccer, lacrosse, hiking, skiing, running and even horse back riding. I am shamelessly in love with every member of the Boston Red Sox as well as my border collie/aussie mix of a pup, Sophie. I am a physiology and neurobiology major here at Uconn and if I could be any one in the world other than myself I would be Christina Yang from Greys Anatomy
