This past fall, Taylor Swift announced her first tour since the cancellation of the Lover Fest stadium shows. The Eras Tour is set to begin on March 17th in Arizona, and will end on August 9th in Los Angeles. As of right now, there is no information regarding any international tour dates. With this announcement, everyone is wondering what on earth this tour is going to look like. Swift’s last tour was the Reputation Tour, and there have been four albums released since then. With well over 100 songs to pick from, it is unclear what fans should be expecting.

There have been different theories surrounding what the overall look of the tour is going to be. The name of the tour suggests that it will be a sort-of ‘greatest hits’ tour. My personal guess is that there will be songs from every era, and hopefully each era will be successfully represented. The problem with this is that the tour starts in just over a month, and there are still 4 rerecorded albums that haven’t been released. It is unclear if she needs to release these albums and have complete ownership of the songs before she performs them live. When the tour was announced, I initially thought that all of the albums would be released before the first date, but now I’m not so sure.

Another theory that was circulating was that there would be a different set list every night based on the openers. All of the different openers correspond to a different era, so the two openers each night would determine which two albums she would be performing. While I think this is a really interesting concept (and I can completely see where people are coming from after looking at the promo pictures more), I don’t think Swift would do this. I doubt she would call it The Eras Tour, and then only focus on two of those eras per show.

The last idea that I personally have heard is that this is just a Midnights tour with some extra songs thrown in. I am hopeful that this is not the case, but the fact that she still hasn’t released the remaining rerecorded albums leads me to think that this is a possibility. But again, I don’t think it would be called The Eras Tour if it was just going to be a Midnights tour.

We’re just going to be guessing until March 17th, so for now, here are the songs I am anticipating Ms. Swift will perform.

  1. Our Song

  26. Lavender Haze

Our Song

I’m not super set on this, but I do think that she will perform at least one song per album, and I think this is one of the more likely options from Debut

Fearless (Taylor’s Version)

This was the first rerecorded album to be released and since this is the title track, I do think there is a decent chance that she will perform it.

You Belong With Me (Taylor’s Version)

I truly would be shocked if this song wasn’t included in the setlist.

Mr. Perfectly Fine (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)

This is arguably one of the biggest vault tracks and it would make sense. I’m assuming she’ll play at least a couple vault songs because they are some of the newest and most haven’t been performed live.

Enchanted

Do I even need to explain this one?

Long Live

It seems that the general consensus amongst fans is that this will be the final song performed at the shows. Taylor has always said that “Long Live” is a song for the fans, and it only seems right that it would be included in this setlist.

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Taylor’s Version)

This is my way of begging Taylor to perform the rock version of WANEGBT. I think the song will be performed regardless as this was one of the biggest songs to exist when it came out and is still an incredibly well-known song.

All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)

Potentially an unpopular take, but I do not think that the ten-minute version will be performed. While yes, it is a phenomenal song, it is realistically just too long. Maybe she will do a cut-down version of it, but I think that it is most likely that she will do a mashup of the two and make it around three minutes long.

Nothing New (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)

Since Phoebe Bridgers is an opener, I think it’s safe to say that this song will be performed at the shows she’s in. I do not think it’ll be played at any other shows.

Style

Fans seem to be convinced that the rerecorded version of this song will feature Harry Styles. While I don’t know that I agree with that take, I do think the amount of discussion about it makes it more likely that Taylor will play it.

Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)

This is another song that we saw go viral on TikTok this year, and Taylor even released the re-recorded version. While there are plenty of songs from 1989, I think this one will definitely be performed in some capacity.

Delicate

Taylor has already confirmed that this song will be on the setlist.

Getaway Car

This is another fan favorite and she has to know that. I think this will either be performed on its own or potentially in a mashup with “King of My Heart.”

Call It What You Want

She’s happy and in love so this will probably happen. I hope.

Cruel Summer

This is arguably one of the most popular songs on Lover and since Lover Fest was canceled, this song never got its real moment in the spotlight.

Cornelia Street

Again, she is happy and in love with Joe and she sold her place on Cornelia Street so I think this is likely.

cardigan

This is one of the biggest songs from Folklore so it seems likely that she will perform it.

august

This was the fan favorite from Folklore and I think she knows that there are fans who have been waiting to see this live since it came out.

champagne problems

Truthfully, I don’t have much reasoning for this. Swift liked TikToks asking for this to be performed, so that’s what I’m going off of here.

long story short

All Swifties know that Taylor pretends that Evermore doesn’t exist, but I do think that because this is a song about resilience and finally finding your own happiness, she is likely to perform it. I am anticipating this is going to be similar to the performance of “Clean” on the 1989 tour with some sort of speech attached to it.

Maroon

I would personally argue this is one of the best songs on Midnights. I think it is likely that this will be performed.

Anti-Hero

I don’t think this really needs to be explained. It’s her most recent big single, it is very likely it will be performed.

You’re On Your Own, Kid

I am not totally set on this one. I think it’s relatively likely because it is a track 5 and it’s become very popular amongst fans.

Midnight Rain

I very strongly believe this song will be performed. It is another fan favorite and would be so much fun live.

Mastermind

This is the epitome of Taylor Swift’s brain and I think she will definitely want to perform this live.

Lavender Haze

I have seen a lot of people saying they expect this to be the opening song on the tour. I don’t know that I agree with that, but I do think it will likely be performed.

Honorable mentions

(Songs I think may get performed a couple times/songs I desperately want to be performed)

  1. The Other Side Of The Door
  2. Fifteen
  3. Last Kiss
  4. Dear John
  5. Girl at Home
  6. Holy Ground
  7. All You Had To Do Was Stay
  8. Clean
  9. New Years Day
  10. ‘tis the damn season
  11. Question…?

I think it’s probably safe to say that none of us really know what to expect from this upcoming tour, and we all have different opinions on what should and shouldn’t be played. While we aren’t all going to get to hear our favorites, I have no doubt that this will be yet another amazing series of performances from Taylor Swift. Now we just have to wait and see if the remaining rerecorded albums end up being released before the tour starts.
