Whether you are studying in a corner of some random building on campus, at a table at the union or in your room, there is always something to distract you from your work.  If you’re like me, you are completely incapable of working without music to drown out the outside noise. For music I know people who use Pandora or YouTube (but that is one rabbit hole I’m not going down), but I prefer the playlists on Spotify the best.

I have probably spent countless hours going through playlists, trying to find the best ones.  Here is a list of four of my favorite playlists.

1. The Original Study Playlist: Classical Music

For those of us who live for the original “study playlists” of our parents, try the Classical Essentials playlist.  Full of both older and newer classical selections, this is a new take on the idea of classical.

2. The Last Minute Studying Playlist

If you left your studying to the night before, give the Intense Studying playlist a try. According to some other sources, this is also a really good playlist for when you need a playlist that will keep you moving.

3. Chill beats

For those who want something a bit different from the usual classics, but still want a similar vibe as the original study music, try Chill Lofi Study Beats.

4. Coffee House Vibes

Sometimes you want to study at Starbucks or one of the UConn cafes, but you might not want to leave your room. When that happens, try this Coffee House/Study Music playlist. Bonus: the songs have words.

Good luck studying!
