Do you never know what to wear when the holidays are coming up? Well, you’re in luck! I have a long list of outfits that range in style and comfort for this holiday season. What are my credentials? I treat every holiday like it’s New York Fashion Week. Now sit down and get ready to shop some of my favorite options for this year.

Dresses

While not every family or holiday party may have a fancy dress code, nothing is stopping you from looking good this Christmas. Sometimes wearing a dress to an event is actually the easiest option as you only have to worry about one piece of an outfit. There are so many ways to go about a dress outfit. It can be understated or over the top. It all depends on what impression you want to leave for others.

An obvious color for your dress could be red. But to spruce it up a little you could take inspiration from the outfit above as the dress is velvet. This adds texture, especially one that’s often used around this time of year. You can accessorize this outfit as well and add a black blazer over top. I personally wore a blazer and dress combo to Christmas Eve last year and was swarmed with compliments.

Now I might be stealing this outfit for myself this year. Fur is in this year. We are seeing the rise in faux fur jackets, fur lined hoodies, and more, and I’m here for it. This is such a cute, simple, but chic outfit that people will love. You could wear this in any number of colors: black, green, red, and white.

Now this is going above and beyond. If you’re the fashion girl of the family, this is the option for you. If you’re chronically online, you’ve probably seen this dress somewhere. It’s so classy and perfect for Christmas. My favorite part is the little bow detail. I would love to see someone wear it this holiday season.

Skirt

Whenever I’m lost on what to wear, I always think, when in doubt wear a skirt. It’s such a staple piece of any wardrobe, especially in its flexibility. You can dress it up or make it casual. It’s like a choose-your-own-adventure. That’s why it’s the perfect piece to style your outfit around.

This outfit hits on so many of the holiday aspects. The color scheme, the bow, and the absolute adorableness. This is such a cute outfit that would work for any holiday moment. The piece that truly ties it all together (pun intended) is the bow in the hair. The bow not only ties in all the red in the outfit, but it’s the perfect accessory to make this outfit go from ordinary to extraordinary.

This could definitely be cute for a more casual gathering or for going out around the holiday season. I love the look of the sequin skirt, and who doesn’t love a good boot? The plain top brings down the fanciness of the outfit but gives the skirt its time to shine. The skirt is truly the moment of this outfit, and I love when that happens.

While this isn’t a skirt outfit, I’m obsessed with these mini shorts. They provide comfort and style, which can be used to replace a skirt in most outfits. This is a trend I’d love to see rise this year. It’s innovative and fashionable, and who says you can’t wear shorts in winter? Even if you want to maintain some warmth and add tights underneath, it won’t take away from this unique spin.

pants

Last, but certainly not least, there are pants. Not everyone is a skirt or dress person and that’s totally fine. I’ve seen countless outfits that utilize pants and remain cute. You can make pants more dressed up, or for the more casual families, you can use jeans to their potential.

As always, the red bow is such a cute addition. However, I’m in love with these dark wash jeans. This is the perfect way to dress up jeans while maintaining their comfort. Specifically, the wash of these jeans is what makes them look higher end. Then with the additional accessorizing, this outfit is a perfect option.

Another winter staple is leather. That’s why these leather pants are a great option. You can add just about any top to this, and it remains dressy. A classic is to go for all black, but you can easily add a white or red top. This is also a great outfit to add a fur coat to. This outfit will definitely keep you warm this holiday season.

Circling back to shorts one more time for this masterpiece. I came across this matching set and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell everyone. What says “chic” more than a matching set? While, again, they’re not the long pants option I was marketing in this section, this outfit is such an easy way to dress up this season.

There are so many options for this holiday season that it may be hard to choose. If you were lost on what to wear, I really hope that this style guide helped you. This definitely helped give me some ideas for where to start on my outfit. I can’t wait to see all the outfits you guys put together this season!
