Must Have Essie Nail Polishes For This Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

I love to always have my nails painted, and as a result I have way too many nail polishes. During quarantine especially, I’ve had so much free time to paint my nails. So here are some of my must-have nail colors from Essie for Winter 2020.

1. Wicked

What’s winter without dark red nail polish? Wicked is the perfect color to bring you that holiday joy, without being too bright. Dark nails go so well with the winter season, and this polish will give you the power to get all of your holiday shopping done!

2. Pret-a-Surfer

Dark blue is another must-have for the winter season. Dark blue gives winter vibes and will match the cold weather perfectly. It will complement the snow (if you have any), and look really good with most outfits. Dark blue is my go-to in winter!

3. Flowerista

I love bright pink, and Flowerista is the perfect shade for the winter season. It has a shiny tint to it which is super cheery and adds the perfect twist to a classic color. This shade compliments anyone’s nails, and look super cute!

4. Mint Candy Apple

I don’t usually go for green on my nails, but Mint Candy Apple is essential. It’s super different from all my other nail polish shades and I always recommend this when someone wants to try a new color. The mint is still light though so it can complement several outfits.

5. Bikini So Teeny

If you’re looking for something a little bit lighter, this baby blue is the way to go. This light blue shade gives the perfect icy look for your nails this Winter. It’ll give you a softer shade compared to many of the darker colors typically used during the Winter.

6. Truth or Bare

For a neutral shade, I always suggest Truth or Bare. It matches with pretty much anything and looks classy when attending family events. I’m a big fan of neutral colors, so Truth or Bare is on my nails for most of the year.

7. Angora Cardi

I love this shade and think it’s super festive. The dark pink (almost red) Angora Cardi is so festive and already puts me in the holiday mood. I love this color all year round, but it’s perfect to match that holiday outfit!
