Let’s be honest, nothing is better than a cheesy romance story. Whether you’re in a relationship or living a single life, we all have a soft spot for a good rom-com. When it comes to books, my shelf is filled with the cutest love stories. Here are a few recommendations to add to your own personal library.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

The author duo of Christina Lauren has never failed to completely take over my afternoon. I read The Unhoneymooners in one sitting. An enemy to lover’s romance, the plot includes the best man and the maid of honor taking a honeymoon trip to Hawaii after an unfortunate incident of food poisoning plagues the bride and groom. I don’t want to say much more as to not spoil anything, but I promise even if you aren’t a reader this book is worth picking up. It reads just like a movie and I couldn’t recommend it more.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

It may sound strange to call a romance that starts with a math genius hiring an escort to teach her all about romance heartwarming, but honestly, there is no better word to describe The Kiss Quotient. Although their relationship starts in an unconventional way, I adore Stella and Michael’s relationship. If you are looking for a book to satisfy your romance cravings, this is definitely one to pick up.

The Dating Plan by Sara Desai

Like The Kiss Quotient, The Dating Plan follows a strong woman in STEM who finds herself running into a childhood crush. She is soon enthralled in an elaborate plan that involves a fake engagement and “fake feelings.” Like all good rom-coms, this book’s ending is predictable,  but that’s what makes them so wonderfully cheesy. Not to mention, the banter between Liam and Daisy makes it all that much better.

Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

This book was EVERYWHERE this summer and one that is perfect for my fellow politics lovers. The story follows the secret relationship between the First Son from the White House and the Prince of England. If that’s not enough to make you want to pick this book up, I don’t know is. I have yet to find a person who has not loved the story as much as I have. A definite five-star read, it has the adorable romance, charming characters, and really just everything else you could possibly want in a cheesy romance.
