Let’s Get Spooky: How To Make This Fall Season Your Best

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

We all like to say we wish summer could last forever, but when the last few days of summer approach, many of us (including myself) are already fangirling over the fall season. So in the spirit of the first official week of Fall, here is your guide on how to make Fall 2018, your best season yet.

1. A Shopping Sesh

Out with the old, and in with the new. There is nothing better than decluttering your closet from previous fall fashion pieces because that means you’re allowed to do some shopping. Grab some of your closest friends and hit the mall. Make sure to pick up some fall essentials: sweaters (okay a lot of sweaters), a good pair of black jeans, a flannel, fuzzy socks and maybe a new pair of boots.

2. Pumpkin Picking

Pumpkin picking is a great way to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the fall season. Bring your friends, family, significant other and make a day of it. All the best farms not only offer pumpkin picking, but you can also pick apples, go on hayrides or pick up those sinfully delicious apple cider donuts.

3. Baking

The cold weather is a perfect excuse to try your hand at baking. Take it as an opportunity to relax and get your mind off of those approaching midterms and family gatherings. And did I mention how good freshly baked apple pie taste? Let’s just say, you need it in your life.

4. Be the Hostess with The Mostess

The fact that Halloween parties allow you to relive your childhood and dress up as whoever you want is a beautiful thing. This Halloween, try and host a party of your own. Invite a few of your friends and have them invite a few of theirs. And if you need food and decor inspiration, it’s just one Pinterest search away.

5.  Movie Day In

The fall season is also known as cuddle season, take advantage of that. Plan a day to just sit around in your sweats and watch your favorite Halloween or autumnal movies, cuddle up with a blanket or with a SO.

At the end of the day, having a good Fall 2018 is all about having fun. Enjoy this fall season and remember to stay ~spooky~.
