Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have been pinned against each other ever since 2016 when Bieber started dating Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Gomez and Bieber had an on-again-off-again relationship for about eight years starting in 2011. The celebrity couple dated each other at a very young age but managed to secure the very popular ship name “Jelena.” When Bieber and Gomez called it quits, Hailey and Bieber later began dating and married in 2018.

Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez finally made it clear that they do not have any drama in a picture of the two at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala on October 15.
The infamous picture was captured by photographer and filmmaker Tyrell Hampton and posted on his Instagram where he features photos of many celebrities at events and photoshoots. Hampton’s post features the two leaning into each other for a friendly photo, with the caption “plot twist.”
Call Her Daddy
This certainly was a plot twist, given Bieber and Gomez haven’t been spotted together since Bieber and Justin began dating. Although the real plot twist might have been when Bieber, who uncommonly talks about her personal life and choices, was featured on Alex Cooper’s podcast Call Her Daddy on September 28. Speaking on the situation, Bieber revealed that she has been in contact with Gomez since marrying Justin. Bieber also spoke on the hate she had been getting from Gomez’s fans since she and Justin married in 2018.
When Cooper asked what she would say to Gomez’s fans, Bieber said, “The first thing I would say is you’re not obligated to like me, but I believe that no matter what there can always be mutual respect between people. To me that means you don’t have to like me, but you don’t have to say anything, either, because behind this person that you’re looking at on a screen is a person with a brain, and a heart, and emotions and issues that I face, and so do you, and so does Alex, and so does every single person in this room.”

Given this turn of events, I think it’s finally safe to say that, despite a long of history of fan drama, Bieber and Gomez DO NOT have any beef.
