I’m not a huge fashionista, but I will say, wearing a solid colored mask got boring REAL quick! While wearing whatever mask is available to you is the MOST important thing, (wear a mask people!!), finding one that also fits your style and matches your outfits can be a fun way to enjoy the little things- like going out for necessities!
The Classic Black Mask
I love wearing a black mask. It matches all of my outfits and makes me feel so classic! You can own countless colors and prints, but just like a LBD, a black mask will always do the trick! And so many brands have come out with them, so you’re sure to find one in any price range! Plus, a lot of companies are coming out with bundles. I don’t know about you, but getting 3 masks for $6.99 doesn’t sound bad at all! I currently own one from Forever 21 that came in a 3 pack of black, white and gray. To be honest, I’m too scared to wear white anyway because of how easily dirty it gets. But that’s just me!
Okay, I know what you’re thinking! Old Navy? Selling Masks?! I know! But let me tell you, the array of colors and patterns that they sell is AMAZING! Their styles range from Multiflora, Cheetah, Deep sea, and Burgundy! I own the Polka Dot collection and it’s SO cute! The array of colors makes me so happy! Plus they come in different sizes so that its customizable to your needs. A five-pack costs $12.50, while a 10 pack costs $25.00. Plus, Old Navy always has coupons, so be sure to look into this bargain!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Etsy! And inspiring stories about how and why owners started their business makes me love it even more! If you enjoy supporting small businesses, and getting customized merchandise, then Etsy is the place for you! Etsy is a great place to find MILLIONS of masks, from SpongeBob memes to cute fall themed ones! Trust me, the list goes on and on. Some Etsy stores also offer coupons for when you buy a certain number of items. So it might be worth it to splurge on masks! My favorite right now is from a shop called sixoaksandco! The Plaid Autumn Face mask gives me all the fall vibes…perfect for pumpkin picking!
Tye Dye Face Masks
TikTok brought Tye Dye back into style, and TBH, I’m not mad! These masks give me all the summer and sunny day vibes and I can’t wait to take them into fall. There are so many different colors and ways you can DIY this mask! I created my own by using an old t-shirt I had! It looks so cute and makes me feel good about recycling my old clothes!
Sparkly Masks
Ariana Grande’s mask that she wore to the VMAs was SO chic! I loved the sparkles and the way it matched her outfit! I’m IN LOVE with anything sparkly so when I saw her wearing it I said, “mom I NEED one!”. Sparkly masks look so fun and they can be a great combo with your makeup! I will definitely be purchasing one VERY soon!
At the end of the day, remembering to socially distance and wearing a mask (no matter the print!) whenever you leave your house is SUPER IMPORTANT! There’s no shame in trying to look good with a mask on, so don’t be afraid to be creative and try different styles! Who knows…you might fall in love with it!!
