How long is you shower?

When at the end of a long day taking a 30 to 40 minute shower sounds most relaxing, remember it is attributing to our environmental problems. If you instead opt to take a 5-10 minute shower, you can accomplish more studying, go to bed earlier AND help the environment. This way everybody wins because using less water helps conserve energy.

Some other helpful tips that you can implement in your everyday life at UConn are…

1. Shorter showers.

2. Stop the drip: When brushing your teeth shut the water off completely and only turn it on when you need it. You probably don’t realize how much water you waste.

3. Plug the sink! When washing dishes fill up a container with water or even plug the sink and add soap, this way you don’t have to keep the water running!

4. Nalgene! These water bottles are all the craze, even PINK carries their own line of 32oz water bottles. By purchasing a Nalgene bottle you will help reduce plastic waste all the while maintaining a healthy, hydrated you!
