Beginning in 2007, DJ Earworm’s United State of Pop mashups have allowed listeners to reflect on favorites (and the memories that accompany them) while brining in the New Year with a new party jam. While DJ Earworm’s 2009 mashup is certainly his most popular hit with nearly 47 million views on YouTube, they never disappoint. Annually, he has focused on Billboard’s top 25 hits…until this year.
This year’s mashup, “50 Shades of Pop” is equal parts a party starter and inspiring of premature nostalgia.
