Just one day before she is set to perform at Super Bowl 50 with Coldplay, Beyoncé released an unexpected new music video for her surprise single “Formation.“ This is her first new single in over a year since her last album Beyoncé (Platinum Edition) was released in November of 2014.
This is her second music video in just over a week after her collaboration with Coldplay for their song “Hymn for the Weekend” off of their album A Head Full of Dreams. According to Rolling Stone, Beyoncé was reportedly rehearsing “Formation” during the preparations for the halftime show for the Super Bowl. It is unknown if she will, in fact, perform her new song in Santa Clara on Sunday.
