Actors I’m Excited To See More Of

In the era of streaming, new actors are becoming more and more unheard of. Each new movie in theaters rinses and repeats the same A-listers. It’s tiring to see the same faces on screen, so when a new actor is put front and center it is refreshing to see. The success of several shows like Heated Rivalry and The Pitt have proven that unheard of actors might be a better alternative.

As I have enjoyed seeing new faces on screen, and learning their personalities off screen, here are some new actors that I am excited to see more of.

Chase infiniti

Chase Infiniti made her acting debut in Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. In this drama series, she showed a wide range of emotions, which made her stand out among the more experienced actors she worked with. This role also helped her to get her breakout role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. Infiniti’s role as Leonardo DiCaprio’s daughter shocked the world, leaving her with her first Oscar nomination. She is currently starring in the spinoff of The Handmaid’s Tale called The Testaments, where she plays a prep school student. I am excited to see what she does next, as she is bound to go far.

MILes Caton

Miles Caton is another breakout star from 2025, with his win of the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer. Caton is mainly a singer, and he gained attention from touring with H.E.R at 16 years old. Sinners was Caton’s first role, and from the first five minutes of the movie, his acting was a standout. Not only did Caton act in this Ryan Coogler project, but he also sang live and for the soundtrack.

His performance abilities added to the suspense of the movie and balanced well with his co-stars Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld, just to name a few. For his first role, I was blown away by his abilities and cannot imagine the movie without him. I hope to see him in more movies, and possibly in more musical movies.

Isa Briones

The Pitt brought a lot of new faces to Thursday-night television, including Isa Briones. Her role in the first season was more in the ensemble of The Pitt, but she really had her breakout in the show’s second season. Briones has been at the head of online hate for the character she plays in the show, Trinity Santos, which perfectly demonstrates her skill as an actor. Briones has been in two other shows, Star Trek: Picard and Goosebumps on Disney+. She has also been on stage in Broadway shows, including Hadestown, and is currently in Just in Time with Jeremy Jordan.

Briones is not new to performing, since her filmography is pretty widespread, but with her rise in popularity, we will definitely be seeing more of her. She is a triple threat with singing, acting, and dancing, and I cannot wait to see her character, whom I will keep defending, in future seasons of The Pitt and hear more of her voice in other Broadway shows.

Supriya Ganesh

Supriya Ganesh, Briones’ co-star on The Pitt, is another actress I am anticipating more of in future projects. Ganesh, who graduated from Columbia University to become a doctor, pivoted to acting and landed the role in this show. She impressed me mostly with her realistic approach to her character, who is overwhelmed with work and family issues. In one particular scene, her character breaks down in a lifelike depiction of a panic attack.

While her character (Dr. Mohan) will no longer be in The Pitt, this only gives her more of an opportunity to try her hand in other movies and shows. I hope she continues to pursue acting, though I don’t doubt her abilities to become a doctor, as she makes a great on-screen doctor.

Malik Elassal

Malik Elassal has starred in one other television show, but his breakout role was in FX’s show Adults. Elassal plays a goofy but very relatable twenty-something who is figuring out how to be an adult with the rest of his friends. While this cast also featured mostly newer faces, Elassal’s role stood out to me because of his comedic timing. Any scene that he is in is sure to make anyone laugh since his delivery is always perfect.

Elassal also tours as a comedian and will appear again in the second season of Adults, which I am very excited for. I hope more of his stand-up work gets recognized as well.

As we are seeing a new generation of actors, I am excited to see more faces emerge from Gen Z and beyond. More viewers should tune into movies and shows with unknown actors, as you never know who will become the next star.
