Some say life is cyclical: the elderly sometimes remind us of young children by taking naps and saying “the darndest things.” In the same fashion, college seniors act just like college freshmen:

1. They both go crazy for free t-shirts.

Of course I will stand in line for a solid 45 minutes for a free t-shirt.

2. They both must take pictures of everything.

First tailgate of the semester? Take a picture. Goes to the bar on a Monday night? Take a picture. That pesky skunk is chasing someone on North quad again? Take a picture. Got a taco salad from the Union? Take a picture.

Freshman need to tell all of their friends at home how awesome UConn is. Senior need to remind their future self how awesome UConn was, because #memories.

3. They take the same classes.

Introductory classes or senior slump? One can’t be sure.  I’m looking at you, French Film!

4. They both think they deserve basketball tickets the most.

“It’s my freshman year, I need tickets!” “No, I need tickets! It’s my senior year!”

Not to worry – you’ll be able to buy them on Buy or Sell for 3x the price.

5. They both are trying to make friends in the dining hall.

Sure, seniors may be attempting to find their newest friend with the oh-so-valuable flex swipes but hey, new friends come in all shapes and sizes!

6. They both always stop to pet Johnathan.

SO CUTE. How could you not?!

7. They both value any care packages from Mom and Dad as if it’s greater than gold.

Fact: No dining hall meal or Celeron attempt-of-a-meal compares to a home-cooked meal.

8. They both LOVE UConn.

‘Cause there’s no reason not to.
