7 Ways to Survive the End of the Semester

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

It’s that time of year again, time to put on your thinking cap and your winter scarf. We only have a few weeks left of the year and that means finals are coming, and with them come some cold and possibly bitter days. Hopefully some of these tips will make your last few weeks more bearable.

1. Sleep while you can, when you can, wherever you can.

2. Invest in an abundance of fuzzy socks because the cold winter nights can be brutal. They will be there for you when no one else is. They are your friends.

3. Start making a perfect study playlist to make your long hours at the library a little easier to bear.

4. Invest in a significant amount of snacks for the long nights ahead. (Chocolate is highly recommended.)

5. Add your favorite movies/TV shows to your list on Netflix so you can watch them during study breaks to take your mind off things.

6. If you don’t already own a body pillow, you’ve been going about life the wrong way. They’re $10 at Target. Do yourself the favor.

7. You also might just want to make sure that you’re wearing some waterproof mascara, just in case you were to hypothetically have some sort of meltdown while studying for 3 cumulative finals. Don’t be ashamed. We’re in this together.

You got this.  Good luck, collegiettes.
