I think we can all agree on the fact that Instagram is one of the best social media platforms. One of my favorite things about Instagram is the fact that you can find and create friendships with people who have similar interests as you. For example, if you love shopping, there are literally thousands of fashion Instagram accounts that you can follow. Now, I am a true makeup addict. I love hearing about new makeup releases, testing out different products, and absolutely LOVE going to Instagram to see all of the cool makeup looks people create. If you are as obsessed with the makeup world as much as I am, here are four beauty Instagram accounts to follow.
1. Jkissamakeup
Jkissa or @jkissamakeup on Instagram, is a well-known makeup artist with over 250,000 followers on the social media platform. Most of her posts consist of daring looks that she effortlessly is able to pull off. What I specifically love about her looks is that while they are quite bold, they are still wearable. She is also known for using mainly cruelty-free products which is always a plus.
2. mykie_
Mykie also known as @mykie_ on Instagram, is known for doing some of the craziest looks on Instagram as well as on her YouTube channel Glam&Gore. She is known for taking risks with all of her looks, and one of the most amazing things about her is that a lot of her “gore training” is self-taught. If you’re someone who likes the glam and gore that can be seen in the beauty world this is definitely an account to follow.
3. makeupbytreenz
Katrina Marrufo or @makeupbytreenz on Instagram, is the account to follow if you are into the more everyday looks. If you’re not as likely to go as bold as the last two accounts, then this is the girl to follow. With her Instagram account, Katrina does swatches of new products, shows “mini-tutorials” of some of her looks, and is constantly posting pictures of her makeup looks with every product that she used listed in the description section. Since I am someone who is constantly looking for new makeup products to buy, I always go to this account to see the swatches and get her review on the product.
4. jamescharles
James Charles also known as @jamescharles on Instagram, is known for completely changing the game. For those of you who are not aware, James is the first male CoverGirl! What I love about James is that he has only been doing makeup for a year now, which is crazy since he is able to produce absolutely flawless looks, like the one shown in the picture above. James is breaking down the barriers, and the stereotypes for the makeup community and is taking the world by storm.
Even though I only showed four beauty accounts, please be aware that there are thousands upon thousands of accounts that you can find on Instagram which range from extremely simple, to the boldest and the brightest makeup looks possible. Have fun following, collegiettes!
