20 Reasons Why Dogs Will Always Be Better Than Boys

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

Carrie Underwood once sang, “The more boys I meet, the more I love my dog.” Boys cause drama, heartbreak, and stress. Dogs on the other hand? They’re playful balls of fluff that will love you undconditionally, and never leave you crying while eating pints of Ben & Jerry’s. Heres 20 reasons why dogs are better than boys.

1.       Dogs don’t text girls they shouldn’t. They don’t have thumbs so they are physically incapable of even texting.

2.       Dogs don’t tell you that your friend Becky looks hot today.

3.       Boys judge you for watching The Notebook every Friday night, dogs don’t.

4.       Dogs are always down to snuggle.

5.       Dogs don’t ask you to send nude pictures.

6.       Some boys might start to judge you for wearing sweatpants four days in a row. Dogs, however, understand that comfort is key.

7.       Slobbery dog kisses > slobbery boy kisses.

8.       Boys make you cry sometimes. Dogs make you smile always.

9.     Dogs understand what no means.

10.   You can lovingly force a dog to wear a cute Christmas sweater. Boys, not so much.

11.   No matter what happens or what you look like, dogs are always happy to see you.

12.   Dogs never disagree with you or tell you your opinion was wrong. Mainly because they can’t speak, but still.

13.   Dogs are the best listeners and never play video games while you’re trying to tell them why Monica and Chandler, not Ross and Rachel, were the best couple on Friends.

14.   Your dog will never judge you for eating two boxes of pizza bagels by yourself.

15.   Dogs don’t like other girls Instagram pictures.

16.   If you accidentally step on or hurt a dog they forgive you in .2 seconds.

17.   Dogs always miss you when you’re gone, even if you just went to the bathroom.

18.   Dogs always let you pick the show to watch on Netflix.

19.   Dogs don’t care if you gain any weight, they just see you as someone who is even more cuddly now.

20.   No boy, not even the Ryan Gosling look a like in your Bio class, will ever be as cute as a golden retriever puppy.
