SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY GLUED TO YOUR LAPTOP BECAUSE YOU ARE STILL BINGE WATCHING.Â
The new season comes out on February 27th. We all know you’ve been living only half a life since season two ended, so check out the past two seasons’ craziest House of Cards moments.
1.    When Claire reveals her rape on live television.
Claire Underwood had a huge girl power moment when she decided to reveal on live television that she had been raped in college by Dalton McGinnis, now a general in the Marines. Â Although this was true, she said that he impregnated her so she had to have an abortion, which was a lie. Her confession prompted a public discussion about sexual assault in the military, leading Claire to join with the first lady and another of his victim’s to try to create a bill. Â Claire had to abandon the bill when Francis got closer to the presidency.Â
2.    When Francis pushes Zoe in front of a subway.
Probably one of the most OMG-worthy moments on the show. Â RIP Zoe. Â She knew too much.Â
3.    When Francis and Claire proved just how fond they were of their bodyguard, Edward Meechum.Â
Raise your hand if you still can’t decide whether this was kind of gross or kind of awesome.Â
4.    When Jackie Sharp and Remy hook up for the first time.
It was only a matter of time before these two awesome (and incredibly attractive) characters got together.Â
5.    When Rachel hits Doug Stamper over the head with a brick.
Doug Stamper let his obsession with ex-call-girl Rachel get to epic proportions when he forced her to end her relationship with her new girlfriend. Â Scared that she was in danger, Rachel ran into the woods and Stamper followed…a poor mistake on his part. Â Turns out Rachel + a brick can be pretty deadly…
6.    When Francis leaves Peter Russo to die in his car and made it look like a suicide.Â
Poor Peter Russo. Just a pawn in Frank’s grand scheme. Â RIP to a well-intentioned man who just couldn’t kick his bad habits.Â
7.    When Claire tricks her lover, Adam, into saying the wrong thing about their affair.
Evil rich guy Raymond Tusk tried to take down the Underwoods by leaking information about Claire’s affair with Adam Galloway by showing a photo he had taken of her in bed. Â To diffuse the issue, she tells Adam to say one thing while her and Frank say something completely different, making Adam look like a complete lying weirdo. Â His career withers into the dust, the Underwoods emerge unscatched, and Adam tells Claire she is the only person he ever hated.Â
8.    When there was a blackout at the Orioles’ game.
Frank was supposed to throw out the first pitch at the Orioles’ game, but Raymond Tusk used his power in the energy industry to cause a blackout on the entire east coast.Â
9.    When Francis has Republican Senate members carried in wearing handcuffs so he could pass the retirement bill.
In some crazy political scheme, Frank forced reluctant Republican members to come vote on a bill about changing the retirement age.  Some were so reluctant that they came in handcuffs. If you were confused about what was going on, check out this article that explains everything and discusses whether it could actually happen.Â
10. When Francis becomes President of the United States.
Two seasons of scheming, manipulating, lying and murdering have led to this…only more craziness to come in season three! Check it out on Netflix February 27th.Â
