RSOs/teams/activities:
I started an RSO last year—Phoenix Funds.  We teach undergraduates the theoretical foundation necessary for investing in marketable and non-marketable securities.  Sorry, I hope there wasn’t too much technical jargon in that sentence.  I’m also part of Chicago Careers in Business: Financial Markets.  It’s great; we eat Chipotle, play Twister, and get gourmet pizza and frozen yogurt when we visit trading firms downtown.  I’m also organizing a broomball team for CCIB: FM, but that’s about as athletic as I’ll get.  I don’t think I’ll ever be tall enough for varsity basketball.

Favorite thing to do in Chicago:
I enjoy mingling at the Signature Lounge; it gives me an excuse to dress fancy.  But in all seriousness, the Signature Lounge has great food and drinks, as well as a stunning view of the city.  However, piece of advice: walking 10-20 blocks to the Hancock building in high heels isn’t the most pleasant experience.  Take a taxi.

What was your dream job as a kid?
I wanted to be a mermaid when I was a kid.  That, or a Bond Girl.  Does the University of Chicago have pre-professional programs for either of those?

The best way to spend a Sunday afternoon:
Chicago has excellent beach weather, so I’m a fan of spending Sunday afternoons at the beach.  However, on those rare days when Chicago’s a bit chilly, I guess I’d go to the Reg and do some homework instead.

City or country you want to visit:
I’ve always wanted to go sailing in Santorini (even though I don’t know how to sail).  Actually, I think you could call this humanitarian intervention instead of a vacation—Greece really needs those tourism dollars.

A special skill/talent you have:
I can finish the Slayer Burger at Kuma’s Corner.  It’s this monstrous “burger” made up of a pile of fries topped with a 10 oz burger, chili, peppers, sausage, cheese, and anger.  I hope “anger” isn’t a euphemism for something else though…

What are you most excited to do over winter break?
I can’t wait to see my dog, Tinkerbell, when I go home for winter break.  However, I hope she recognizes me this time—when I went home for the summer, she ran past me and made a beeline for my dad after I got home from the airport.  I guess dogs truly are man’s best friend.  What a bitch.
