How did you guys meet?
M: We met in the fall quarter of 2011 through mutual friends and Greek life and then got to know each other better throughout the year.
What do you like or admire most about the other person?
M: The fact that she’s genuine in her interactions. We can have deep conversations, she cares about what I love, and she has great social skills (so I won’t be afraid to leave her in public…).
J: His Christianity. He motivates me to be a better person, to love more, and criticize less. When I’m sad or angry or happy, he helps me put those emotions into perspective and appreciate why I’m feeling that way and how to productively express it.
What’s your favorite way to spend time together?
J: Cooking! Err…when he cooks and I provide crucial moral support and feedback. He would be utterly lost without me, of course.
Your relationship in one word
M: Friendzoned
J: Ant
Best date you’ve gone on?
M: We went downtown to watch a play only to find out that it wasn’t playing that night. So we found a nice restaurant, talked and stopped for some bubble tea on the way home; it was a good night to just spend time together and be all “coupley”.
J: When we cooked dinner together at home one night. We went to the grocery store together to buy all of the ingredients, and then listened to music and talked while he made curry na’an pizzas and I baked oatmeal peanut butter cookies and homemade granola.
What’s an embarrassing fact you know about each other?
M: When she sleeps, she snorts sometimes and it freaks me out.
J: He spends more time on his hair than I do.
What movie best symbolizes your relationship?
M: Mission Impossible
J: Anchorman
What’s your stance on PDA?
M: Since I don’t like seeing it in public, I wouldn’t want someone else seeing me publicly displaying my affection. However, I will let a few instances slip here and there.
J: Not a fan. I wouldn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable or feel third-wheeled, but holding hands is fine.
Favorite feature on the other person:
M: I really love…her pet bunny.Â
J: His humor. The sound effects and facial expressions can be quite entertaining.Â
