Just think about it. The virus apparently started with the animal species infecting human
species, but it doesn’t affect the animals themselves. Why? It doesn’t affect the plants around
us. It doesn’t affect any other species, except the human race. For many generations, we have
not been nice to mother nature, especially animals. We cut down forests to build even taller
buildings. We kill animals and their families to feed ourselves. Imagine if someone took our shelter
and our family away from us? This pandemic is a wake-up call. This is Earth’s way of telling us
that it doesn’t need us. It’s telling us that if millions of humans die, it will still be there. The
animals and plants will still be there. What is the use of all these buildings and cars, when you’re
locked inside your home? This is our chance to make amends with nature. Our chance to admire
it. We can all imagine a different world after this. A world of saving more water and producing less air
pollution. A world of petting more animals and fewer killings. A world of planting more trees and
less deforestation. Essentially, a world of more kindness and less brutality.
Also, it took a Pandemic for me to learn to live in the moment. We all didn’t see the virus taking
over our lives when 2020 started. We were all busy planning, studying, traveling and chasing all
these jobs but today we’re forced to work from home. Schools are falling behind with schedules
and the economies are crashing down. This Pandemic is bigger than us. So instead of
constantly hunting down materialistic things, stay put and spend this time taking care of yourself
and your loved ones. Do what makes you happy. That’s what will matter at the end of this
pandemic.
