Ok, so the title is a *littleee* misleading- anyone who lives in Edmonton knows that calling this weird transitional no-longer-summer-but-not-quite-winter period “fall” is a stretch. A week from now, in fact, we can probably expect our first downpour of snow, which can make shopping for fall clothing tricky. However, one way to get around this is to buy clothes that you can wear both during the fall and the (way-too-long) winter.

Mom Jeans

These have been a staple for a few years now and its not hard to see why; far more comfortable than their skinny counterparts and easy to dress up or down, mom jeans just might be the perfect jeans. I found my favourite pair at a thrift store, but a lot of stores carry them in just about any wash or fit you could ask for.

Combat Boots

The perfect way to make an outfit more edgy (or casual), these are an easy way to give yourself a break from your everyday sneakers. Invest in a pair with good grip and you’ll be able to make it through icy pavements and 12 inches of snow with no problems.

Oversized Jackets

This bold look will keep you warm and looking as stylish as your favourite influencers. Who doesn’t love a two-for-one?

**bonus points if you wear all three pieces together.
