There is something so satisfying about finding songs on your iPod that you never knew you had.  While stuck writing a research paper over Spring Break, I was pleasantly surprised that my shuffle setting reintroduced me to songs that I have neglected over the years. This week’s playlist is a mix of old and new alike, so kick back,
relax, and enjoy!

1. Feel So Close – Calvin Harris
The first time I heard of Calvin Harris was when he produced “We Found Love” with Rihanna, so of course I was excited when I found out he had a new single. If you are anything like me, you love to work out (just kidding!); nonetheless, this is the perfect song to pump you up!

2. President Carter – Lil Wayne
Lil Wayne’s newest album Tha Carter IV was released in August of last year, but it was until recently that I stumbled upon this song.  Lil Wayne is one of the most famous people to have grown up in the Big Easy and has already released nine albums.  Be sure to look out for his tenth, which is to release sometime this year!

3. Enchanted – Taylor Swift

Sometimes it’s impossible to not love Taylor Swift. This is one of my favorite songs of her album Speak Now and it definitely never got the recognition it deserved.

4. Animal – Mike Snow
Miike Snow is a relatively young Swedish band that has already come out with their second album, Happy to You. Even though thissong was released on their
first album, it has always remained one of my favorites. If you are new to Miike Snow, you will be pleasantly surprised by how good, and unique, this song is.

5. Hang it Up – The Ting Tings
I’ll be honest – I never heard of The Tings Tings before I found“Hang it Up.” The musical duo hails from the UK and just the released their second album, Sounds from Nowheresville.  Surprisingly,I have found posters all over campus (especially
in Boggs) that advertise this relatively new band (and I’ve been curious who’s the mastermind behind this).Maybe it’s time I start looking at the flyers around campus more often for music inspiration!
