Hot Beverages for the Non-Coffee Drinker

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

As both a coffee-hater and cold weather-hater, I am often faced with a difficult challenge of deciding what type of hot beverage to drink. From matcha lattes to hot chocolate, here is a list of my personal go-to hot drinks without coffee.

  1. Matcha Latte

I love matcha lattes. They’re the perfect balance of earthy and sweet. Although some people argue matcha tastes a bit like grass, I think it tastes like grass in a good way. Matcha lattes are perfect with a non-dairy milk such as almond milk or oat milk, and it can be sweetened or unsweetened. I would recommend a sweetened matcha latte as your first go-around.

  1. Chai Latte

Chai lattes truly taste like winter in a cup. The cinnamon and milky flavors completely warm you up!

  1. Turmeric Latte

Turmeric has tons of health benefits, so why not benefit while sipping a warm drink? Turmeric lattes pair perfectly with your favorite non-dairy milk as well.

  1. London Fog

Any time I see a London Fog on a drink menu, I can’t resist. London Fogs are Earl Grey lattes with lavender and vanilla. It has my three favorite flavors mixed into a warm drink that’s perfect for a cold winter day.

  1. Rose Latte

Rose lattes taste like a milky garden. I’ve also seen lavender lattes, as well!
