What are you involved in at Tulane?

I am extremely proud to call myself a Newcomb Scholar. The scholars program keeps me connected to Newcomb and has provided many opportunities for funding, networking, and community involvement. I am also a member of Sigma Delta Tau panhellenic sorority and Alpha Lambda Delta honors sorority. My love for dogs and helping people has also drawn me to get involved in TUSTEP in which I puppy sit and and I am even considering raising a service puppy in the future.

What are your favorite spots and things to do in New Orleans?

I have recently fallen in love with downtown. I used to think that Bourbon street was the main attraction but after more exploration I gained a better appreciation for the city and its culture. Whenever I have a free weekend I love to head downtown and listen to the classic NOLA music, view some amazing art, eat some awesome food, and watch some of the street performances. If I had more time I would totally do it every weekend!

If you could go on date with a celebrity, who would it be and why?

Jimmy Fallon.  I love anyone who can make me laugh and he definitely can. I went to a live taping of late night last summer and loved how genuine and friendly he was. He is one of the most creative and hysterical people in this world and I would love to hear his story and get to chat with him.

Rumor has it you’re going abroad next semester.  Where are you going and why are you excited to go there?

Copenhagen, Denmark through the Danish Institute of Study Abroad (DIS). I’m really excited for the cold and the dark that is a Scandinavian winter…just kidding!  In all seriousness, I have heard such amazing things about Copenhagen. It is one of the happiest country in the world! I’m really excited about my courses and the opportunities that DIS gives me. As pre-med student I didn’t have many abroad options and DIS offered so many amazing courses like human health and disease.  The program is perfect for me.
