12 Mostly Free Gifts to Yourself You Didn’t Even Know You Needed

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

Here’s quite literally a list of coupon codes for gifts for yourself, most of which are…free.

And, coupons don’t expire. Transfer to everyone you can. The more, the better. Unauthorized reproduction of self-care habits and coupon codes for living your best life is not only legal, but encouraged. Enjoy.

1. Redeemable for a warm bath after a long, stressful day. Candles not included, but highly recommended. And maybe, a nice bath bomb, if you’re really feeling it.

2. Redeemable for at least five minutes of admiring yourself in the mirror. Hear me out, you don’t have to fall head-over-heels in love with yourself, because somewhere deep down we all struggle with slight insecurities and there’s nothing wrong with that, but take a minute to appreciate at least one thing. Start small. You could remind yourself of how much you like your wrinkling and crinkling when you smile, or the way your eyes change colors in the sun, or how your freckles dance across your nose. Just whatever you do, find something about yourself you appreciate and remind yourself of your uniqueness and wonder.

3.  Redeemable for a night unplugged. Go ahead, tune the world out. You deserve to turn your phone off and silence the cyber chaos for a while. Really, no one that important will call you, and your Insta timeline isn’t in chronological order, anyway, so know you won’t miss much.

4. Redeemable for an ice cream with every topping your heart desires, even if they’re extra money. Calories and dollars don’t count right now, you have a coupon…duh.

Code: cherry_on_top

5. Redeemable for a $14 and under shopping spree on Amazon. Why $14? It’s less than $15, which feels like too much, and we all know $13 is an unlucky number, so there we have it. Think there’s nothing you can get? Think again. I just personally searched, and you can get a beauty blender, neon glow-in-the-dark face paint, a yoga mat, or a killer reusable water bottle. Oh, and much more. And no, Amazon, didn’t sponsor this, though that’d be cool.

6. Redeemable for the night out with friends you’ve been putting off. College only lasts so long, and exploring your new city is part of learning, growing, and maturing. Go scout out new streets with your friends, or solo (safely), while you can. You’ll regret not doing it.

7. Redeemable for a much needed in-bed-lights-out-early kind of night. Need I really explain this one? You’re tired, I’m tired, we’re all tired. Press pause. Go to bed early, unwind, and get a fresh start tomorrow. You’ll wake up knowing you needed it.

8. Redeemable for a walk. A walk to go get coffee. A walk on the phone. A walk with your dog. A nice, long walk can clear your head, rest your heart, and work your body. Not to mention, saving money and the environment. A win-win and walk-walk.

9. Redeemable for giving yourself a break. We all need to be nice to each other, but more importantly, to ourselves. Keep your head up.

Code: we_all_make_mistakes

10. Redeemable for petting the goodest good dog around. For as long as you need. As long as you’re not allergic to dogs. I’m really sorry if you are.

Code: mal_tese_me

11. Redeemable to do a random act of kindness of your choosing.

Code: be_the_change

12. Redeemable to enjoy all the good things that come your way, despite the bad ones along the way. Here’s a coupon to remind you it’s okay to smile and stay positive during any phase of your life.
