Profile: Alice Janigro

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Name: Alice Janigro.

Year: 2019.

Hometown: Cleveland Hts, OH (GO CLE!).

Major: International Relations…?

Relationship Status: Single.

What are you involved in on campus? I’m in Sarabande and Spirit of Color. I’m also a caller at
the beloved Tufts Telefund.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? It’s from a poster, so it may not qualify as advice, but probably to “forever stay open, curious, fearless, transparent and willing to be and love being exactly who you are.”

Who is the most influential person in your life? My mom. She’s my favorite person in the world. I don’t understand how she’s so logical and loving and helpful.

What is your fondest memory at Tufts so far? Performing in my first Sarabande show. Performing in a college environment, with all my friends in the audience and with so many crazily talented friends on stage was so different than performing at home. It was awesome.

What are some of your favorite activities to do in your free time? Dancing, watching Suits and eating yummy snacks with friends.

Favorite song: Right now, probably Supersoaker by Kings of Leon

Favorite band: Very unsure. I like Walk the Moon and Kings of Leon a lot.

What is your spirit animal? “Definitely a dragon” according to my friend. I think that could be accurate.

If you could do anything in your life, what would it be? Become Beyoncé or travel the world. Either, or.

Describe yourself in 3 Words: silly, excitable, ~cool~.

What is one thing you want people at Tufts to know about you? I don’t just want to pronounce my name differently. It actually is Alice (Ah-lee- chay)
