The countdown to the holiday season has begun! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I know quite a few Collegiettes craving the comforts of home. Here are a few ways to make your space at school more comfy-cozy.
1. Twinkle Lights
Who says that stringed lights are only for front lawns and Christmas trees? Stringed lights give a room a softer, warmer feel than the standard fluorescent bulbs. For a more creative display, pile your strands into large glass bowls or mason jars.

2. Fall Clove Balls
This craft is fun to do with a friend and will make your room smell amazing. You’ll need a hot glue gun, a couple of Styrofoam balls, a bag of cloves, and some fall-inspired knick knacks. Using your hot glue gun (I picked up mine for less than $5 at T.J. Maxx), glue the pinecones, nuts, and other bits onto to ball. Fill in the gaps between the pieces with your cloves, which you can push into the Styrofoam without glue. The project is finished when you can’t see any of the Styrofoam. Place on your desk or dresser as a decorative piece.

3. Gift Wrapped Furniture
Getting tired of staring at bland, white walls and boring furniture? One way to personalize your dorm items is to cover them in wrapping paper. This time of year, many stores are selling pretty gift wrap. Find a design you like and use a few rolls on your closet doors and desk drawers, or that section of the wall that you have no clue what to do with.
