Meet Isabel, Jacob, and Josh – all models at this year’s LUX Fashion Show!
1. What’s your favorite part about being in LUX?
Isabel Obrien: I think my favorite thing about being in LUX is getting to know the models and directors so well while also supporting such a fantastic cause. Everyone involved brings a different element to the LUX dynamic so it’s super fun getting to know everyone and see some of the diversity around Tufts while unifying in support of charity.
Jacob Siegelbaum: My favorite part of being in LUX would have to be my participation in the photo shoots; it was so much fun to have glitter thrown all over me and “make love” to the camera! There was never a dull moment at the shoots.
Josh Merriweather: Favorite part about LUX is Michael Kareff.
2. Best LUX moment so far?
Isabel: I’m helping to choreograph a dance for the models and China Care along with Daniel Camilletti and they’re all really into it which is fantastic. Sort of surprisingly no one was really embarassed to get started and people were really enthusiastic which pumped everyone up. I’d say teaching everyone their parts has been my favorite because of all the positive energy they bring.
Jacob: The best LUX moment thus far would have to be my fitting; the original outfit that had been selected for me was atrocious, but after some switching and trial-error style matching, my outfit was finally together.
Josh: Putting on my complete outfit at the fitting and realizing I was kinda beast.
3. What designer are you most excited to wear during the show?
Isabel: This year I’m most excited to wear LF because their clothes are really not something I’d usually wear so it’s fun to branch out. I really know very little about fashion (sorry directors!), but the way I’d describe their style is pretty Coachella-esque/Boho-chic and since I’ve never worn a flower crown it’s a little out of my realm but fun nonetheless!
Jacob: I’m so excited to be exclusively wearing Tommy Bahama at the show. They have such a fun summer look together for me and I can’t wait to show it off!
Josh: I’m most excited to wear Keezer’s because it’s the only thing I’m wearing.
