For those of us who are unfamiliar with the new snacks brand, UNREAL Snacks taste just as good as all of your favorite goodies, except without the corn syrup, artificial flavoring, and coloring. In other words they are not like your average junk foods; the snacks have instead been UNJUNKED. The brand was started when a 13-year boy posed the question: “why does the junk food we love have to be bad for us?” The brand has since been able to accomplish creating great tasting candy with much better ingredients, available at a comparable price, pretty much EVERYWHERE. It has even been embraced by celebs, including famous duo Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady. (Don’t believe us? Check out the video here).

UNREAL Snacks had an impactful launch on the Tufts University campus these past few weeks. 1,000 samples of UNREAL Snacks have been distributed to the student body thus far. Tufts students were widely accepting of the snacks, making the goodies easy to distribute at events from Halloween to Study Breaks in Tisch Library.

The student body appeared to love the candy. One taster commented that she preferred the peanut butter cups because they tasted as if they were filled with “real peanut butter”. The consensus seemed to be that the snacks tasted different than say your average Snickers or Milky Way bar, but that they were just as good. Sydney Cushing, a junior at Tufts commented that the two bars, “had a thicker layer of dark chocolate” on the outside, to which she concluded, “I like them better.” They did not taste like the health food options people dread, instead they tasted, as many students commented, delightfully “real”.

1,000 more samples will be distributed before the end of the year! If you want to try (or get more of) what most Tufts University students find to be surprisingly delicious stay up to date with the Her Campus Tufts Facebook and Twitter pages. Already tried them? You can snag more of these goodies on campus or at your closest Target and CVS Pharmacy!
