Election Edition: Christie Maciejewski

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Name: Christie Maciejewski

Hometown: Walpole, Massachusetts

Tufts Affiliations: Chi Omega, LCS Special Friends, Tufts Telefund, TCU Senate

Favorite Movie: Finding Nemo

What Are You Currently Listening To: Madness from Muse. Sums up the campaign!

Favorite Store/Brand: Macy’s, because it’s a one-stop shopping trip.

Most Beloved Possession: Probably my piano at home, because I played it every day for years. It was handed down to us when my Grandma passed away.

Favorite Part About Tufts: Spring Fling. Who can disagree? And I love that it’s the one day of the year that EVERYONE can come together as a Jumbo community. That day feels like Tufts.

Dewick or Carmichael: I’m a loyal Hill Hall Freshman. Carm. Obviously.

Have you ever painted the cannon? Of course! If you haven’t, do it tonight! I’ve painted it for Senate, for campaigns, for ChiO, and for fun.

Can you eat like a Jumbo? Definitely. For better or worse, Chinese food and Helen’s have become a huge part of my life at Tufts.

What is the most Jumbo thing you have ever done? Chalking at 3 AM. Who else does that but a Jumbo?

Most embarrassing childhood moment? Peeing my pants in gym class (I was in kindergarten!) when the confused substitute teacher didn’t think she could let students use the bathroom during gym. That was an uncomfortable class.

Favorite Boy Band: The Wanted

Best advice for Junior Jumbos: The only thing you have to fear is fear itself. Don’t be afraid to speak up in class, go to a new club, talk to new people. College is a time for trying and failing and trying and succeeding. Go try.
