A Definitive Ranking of Trader Joe’s Snacks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

This is the only grocery list you’ll ever need. Grab your wallet and your friend with a car and leave now.

1. Dried Pineapple

Watch out, these are unbelievably addicting. However, as we learned in our nutrition class this semester, dried fruit, especially pineapple, is a major source of fiber. If you’re like most Americans, you probably aren’t getting enough. So, no need to feel guilty downing an entire bag of these.

2. Dried Mango Slices

There are two kinds of these. One with sugar, one without. If you are a mango lover (like us), you will be obsessed with both. But, fruit haters, fear not. The sugary one is a healthy version of Airheads.

3. Dried Mandarins

Even people who hate fruit love these. It might be because they are coated in sugar, but there’s still fruit under there so it counts.

4. Cat Cookies

Claire hates these. Lauren can’t eat these #glutenfree. Everyone else worships these, so we had to put them on our list.

5. Baked Cheese Crunchies

Claire hates these too. Lauren eats an entire bag in one sitting. If you’re gluten free, these are an amazing alternative to Cheetos.

6. Roasted Seaweed Snacks

As long as you don’t have a hot date later (they get stuck in your teeth and make your breath smell horrible), these are snack gold.

7. Olive Oil Popcorn

Claire has a serious popcorn addiction and this was one of her gateway snacks. If you’re someone who eats when you’re bored, this one’s for you. Popcorn is basically air. (Right?)

8. Sunflower Seeds

If you’re super busy but feeling hungry, just stick a funnel down your throat and pour these into your stomach. A+ Tisch snack food.

9. Joe-Joe’s

These are the Trader Joe’s version of Oreos, and are probably not quite as bad for you. Specifically, Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s are amazing. Lauren is now running around our house looking for her keys because we just discovered that Gluten Free Joe-Joe’s are a thing.

We hope this was helpful for your next Trader Joe’s haul. However, if you are reading this outside the hours of 8am-10pm (their hours of operation), feel free to come peruse our pantry. It’s basically a mini Trader Joe’s #traderjoe’sjumbos. Or, check out these Dorm-Friendly Baking Recipes.
