If you follow Her Campus Tufts on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or saw our snapshots on this website, you can tell we had a BLAST at College Fashion Week 2015. The Tufts Her Campus ladies dressed up and ventured into Boston for one of the most exciting events of the year. We tried a bunch of new products and were updated on this year’s latest fall trends! Here’s a recap of the trends we LOVED from the runway!

1. 70’s Boho Style. This is a HUGE trend on the runway lately! Boho Style means fringe jackets, fringe bags, bell sleeves, pants and lots of flowing, fun prints! This may seem like a trend that’s confined to summer, but trust me, it can transition into fall perfectly! Check out some of these staples to add to your fall wardrobe for the perfect, carefree, boho style.

  • Forever 21 Suede Fringe Jacket – This jacket is the perfect way to work some darker, earthy tones into your fall look! Pair it with some high rise jeans and a simple top and you’ll be killing the 70’s style in no time.
  • Paisley Floral Swing Dress – This floral dress is an inexpensive and fun piece with a pattern that embodies the 70’s. It has great fall colors and would look amazing with thigh-high socks, booties and a fringe bag like the model is wearing!
  • Minnetonka Tramper Boots – This is a bolder piece to add to your look, but it is perfect for spicing up a simple outfit! The black color is definitely a more muted version of the shoe, but both are ADORABLE with leggings or skinny jeans and a flowy sweater.

2. Feminine Minimalist Style. Another look I loved off the runway was the minimalist trend. It’s a classic, chic look that is a little more edgy, but still fun for the fall! We learned that even though there’s the old tale “no white pants after labor day,” they can actually be a really nice addition to your fall look! Using a cream or white bottom with some heavier sweaters on top is a perfect way to achieve this minimalist look. Check out some of these staples!

  • White Sweater Dress – This white sweater dress is perfect with some booties and a simple jacket-purse combo. Very clean and minimalist!
  • Bomber Jacket – This adorable piece is perfect for adding some warmth while still keeping your look sharp and clean! It may seem too edgy to pull off, but the fun part about the minimalist look is you can have one piece like this coat and then wear all black underneath so you don’t feel too far out of your comfort zone!
  • A-Line Skirt – This A-line skirt is another great staple for this fall. It still has a flirty cut but is simple as well. You can even look for a similar cut but with a simple pattern and pair it with muted tones to add a pop but still adhere to the trend.
