This Year’s Oscar Nominations

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Trinity chapter.

Alright, ladies and gentlemen, it’s offically, Oscar Weekend!  The 89th annual Academy Awards airs Sunday, February 26 and yes, you can live stream it.  Here are the nominations, and who I believe will win!

And yes, I do think La La Land is going to win pretty much everything.  La La Land is tied with beting the most Oscar nominated movie in history — and it might break the record for the most nominated.  While the movie was great, I don’t know if it deserves all 14 nominations, but it will probably win, solely becasue this year’s pickings were slim compared to past years (if you look at the 2013 awards, films like Silver Linings Playbook, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, Les Mis, and Django Unchained were all in the same Oscar year, making 2013 a fantastic year in film.)
