1) Do you have a favorite improv group or actor that inspires you?
HH: My favorite actors that inspire me are Amy Schumer and Tina Fey.
MM: My favorite actress is Mindy Kaling which is random. She was in her improv group at Dartmouth, she has her own tv show now, and she’s indian like me. So basically she’s super dope!
2) What other outlets do you have for acting and comedy?
HH: Another outlet I have had for comedy aside from the Moveable Joints is stand up in the New York City. I also write for a comedy website called Comedywire.Â
MM: This summer I worked at an entertainment company and was on segments for Comcast Sports Network, as well as being on the “We Don’t Know Either Podcast”. It’s a comedy podcast about random facts and events are going on around the world. I act mostly at school by doing senior thesis and theater department run plays.

3) What’s your favorite part of doing Improv?
HH: My favorite part about doing improv is when everyone in a scene is really understanding each other and we’re doing a bunch of wacky stuff but its all working and is funny.Â
MM: My favorite part about doing improv is that we have no idea what’s going to happen when we do our show. It sounds crazy, but not knowing what kind of a show you’re going to put on is a total adrenaline rush. I also love the people, their like my tiny family away from home.Â
Â
4) What’s something people would be surprised to know about improv?
HH: Something people would be surprised to know about improv would be that practicing makes you better. People have asked me why we practice because its all on the spot but there are rule and tricks that practicing helps you to remember.Â
MM: Something that people would be surprised to know about improv is that it’s really not as scary as it looks. When I tried out for the joints i had never done improv before in my life, but once you get the hang of it it’s really not as scary as you’d think.Â
5) Â How can students get involved with The Moveable Joints!Â
HH: Students can get involved with The Moveable Joints by coming to shows and trying out at the beginning of the semester!
MM: If students want to get involved with us or have any questions they should like us on Facebook, or e-mail us at Forrest.Robinette@trincoll.edu (we suck and don’t have our own e-mail). Or come try out next semester!!!!
