Maggie Epstein ’12

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Trinity chapter.

Maggie Epstein, a senior at Trinity College, tells us all about Stella and Dot, a fabulous and bold new jewelry line that’s perfect for any occasion!

What is Stella and Dot?
It is this really great jewelry company that is sold by everyday woman. You create your own business depending on your schedule, how much money you want to make, and who you want to sell to. It’s the perfect job for a college girl because I basically get to throw little parties for friends and shop and style them. There are so many incentives, like free jewelry, discounted jewelry and even shopping sprees or vacations depending on how successful you are, so it really motivates you to create the best business you can.

How did you become involved with the company?
My mom started before me, I saw how much fun she was having with it, the great people she was working with, and all of the cute jewelry she was getting, so I decided to get involved too! My sister and my aunt also sell, so we even have a little family team and joint trunk shows that are really fun.

What is a trunk show and how often do you hold them?
A trunk show is really simple, usually at a person’s house or apartment and only for a few hours. I bring all of my jewelry, a bottle of wine and some snacks. Everyone just looks at the jewelry with their friends and picks out pieces they like. It is so perfect for an afternoon with friends because everyone always has such a fun time.

What is your favorite part about the collection?
I love the collection because there is a piece for everyone and everything really works for day or night. The jewelry dresses up any outfit, but can still be worn to class.

What is your favorite piece of jewelry?
An entire new line just came out and I’m obsessed with the Zahara Bib Necklace. It’s kind of preppy with a bunch of strands of pastel and gold beads, and looks good with a simple shirt or dressed up to go out. Perfect for any Trinity girl.

How do you feel about your boyfriend, Nana, being campus cutie?
Haha…it’s great, he’s the best!
