Being a broke college student can be rough, especially on the wallet.  As girls, we still gotta look good,  even if we can’t treat ourselves to Sephora prices.  Check out these amazing wallet conscious tips/brands that work almost as well as designer!

Shampoo and Conditioner

Everyone wants shiny, Jennifer Aniston hair, but if you’ve ever tried to figure out what shampoo she uses — which I have — you’ll see that it’s pretty pricey.  Instead of opting for salon brands that can break the bank, try stores like TJ Maxx or Harmon Discount, which offer a lot of great brands for discounted prices.  If you must go the drug store route, go for L’Oreal or Organixx, but nothing with sulfates! Please!

Skin Care

Target and Walgreens have great options for skin care.  Neutrogena is by far my favorite brand.  Burt’s Bees also is fantastic for lip treatments, plus the added peppermint in their balms with give your lips a slight plump.

Olay is also usually a safe bet.  Don’t waste money on rose hips enfused face wash when you’re literally just going to wash it off (no, it won’t make you glow.)  Olay’s face wash does the same thing for so much less.

Make Up

Maybelline is great; their Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector ($9) is practically a carbon copy of the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Highlighter ($40). It comes in two shades for mistake-proof blending.

Check out e.l.f., too!  This brand is one of the cheapest  and offers such a variety in brands.  Their felt tip eyeliner is basically a wayyyy cheaper version of the Kat Von D eyeliner (a cult classic.)
