5 Quick Tips to Surviving Spring Weekend 2014

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Trinity chapter.

1. Invest in B 12 Vitamins

Forget the “party pill,” pop a B12 Vitamin before you get your day started. B 12 gives you energy by preventing megaloblastic anemia that makes you tired and weak. This small, chewable tablet will make you feel good as new when the weekend of festivities wraps up. I swear by it!

2. Electrolytes!!!

Replenish your body by sipping on an electrolyte drink every chance you get. Gatorade, Coconut Water, Propel, and even Emergen-C contain this important substance that will keep your body going throughout the weekend.

3. 40-minute Power Nap

Take a power nap. When the concert wraps up, trek back to your room for a 40-minute nap. This short amount of time is all you need to rejuvenate your body in the midst of all the activity.

4. Water, water, water

Have a water party. Before you go to bed, drink two full bottles of water. Hydration is crucial to preventing that awful headache on Sunday morning.

5. Choose your meals wisely

Lastly, stock up on these food and drink items to increase your chances of having a true “Sunday Funday”:

  • Bananas to replenish much-needed potassium
  • Eggs—go get in line early this weekend to have some of Rashima’s tasty eggs. It will be worth it.
  • Coconut water to provide you with same essential electrolytes as Gatorade without the unwanted sugar.
  • Coffee won’t cure you, and it will only make the headaches worse. So sip on some herbal tea instead.

Have a BLAST, take some pictures, make sure to check out all the events this weekend!
