The leaves are falling and the pumpkin spice lattes are back. We all know what that means: it’s time to pull out our fall wardrobes. If you’re anything like me, you get bored with your clothes pretty quickly and since it’s a new season that means new clothes. The problem is where to start. The good news is that a lot of last year’s fall fashions are still in. However, a true fashionista is always looking for new pieces for her wardrobe, so here are some of my favorite Fall 2013 fashion trends.
Denim on Denim: That’s right, it’s back. Once a 90s favorite made popular by Justin Timberlake, this trend is making a comeback in better fashion than before. The key is to mix different washes and styles to pull off this great look.
Leather: Leather is always a popular choice for a warm jacket. Now this edgy trend is moving from jackets onto the rest of the body. From skirts, to leggings, to even peplum tops, if it’s leather, it’s in. If it has studs on it, even better.
Fur, feathers and fringe: Boho-culture has infiltrated its way into the mainstream fashion world. These soft textures are a must for this season. Not only are they cute, but warm as well for the coming cold season.
Prints: From animal prints to houndstooth, bold patterns are in. But be careful with these because patterns can be hard to pair with each other, so mix in some bold colors to balance the prints, maybe a cobalt blue or this seasons hot color, oxblood.
OXBLOOD OXBLOOD OXBLOOD: This is THE hot color this season. If you have a limited budget for new fall trends make sure you buy something in this color. Oxblood is hot and here to stay.
