The other day I was reading something and it had the word “tooloulou” and I was really curious. Did you know that “tooloulou” is a cajun word for fish? Yes, I know?! That is so crazy! It has such a good sound to it, ya know? too-louuu-lou… I like it!

Like our new mascot? Cute, huh?

I ended up saying “tooloulou” all day yesterday! It kind of just rolls right off your tongue. And I thought about it and you know what? Tooloulou would be a great name for a kid, or a pet, or maybe even my old pet rock (currently named Rocky). Then, I thought, “Wait, Her Campus Towson, we don’t have a mascot!? I mean we kind of have that Nicki Minaji Hype Girl type mascot with Andi, but why don’t we have an official one?!” And with that “Tooloulou the Fish” has become the official mascot of Her Campus Towson. Maybe he’ll even have a passionate affair with Andi. Who knows!?

Another hottie on the Her Campus team

When you think of Her Campus Towson, think of Tooloulou, because she represents everything that Her Campus Towson is about-fun, passionate, Towson women reading and writing about issues and topics that are important to them! We are cute, fun, and a little unexpected–just like Tooloulou

I know what you are thinking. “What the heck is this Ali? I want to read about the latest and greatest singers/actors/dancers etc. that hail from Towson!” Well, I here ya, and times have been tough! But no worries, I promise to bring someone AWESOME for you to read about next week!

But until then, isn’t Tooloulou so cute? And isn’t it such a cute name/word? What’s your favorite word or name? I want to hear about it! Send me an email at alexandrapannoni@hercampus.com or write in the comments. Your response may very well even end up on the Her Campus website!
