The Stages of Winter Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

FINALS ARE OVER! YAY!

You’re finally free of schoolwork and studying!

Unless you’re taking winter classes…

But you’re still free for a few days in between!

You come home and by, god.

The food.

And you get to sleep in your own bed.

And not worry about alarm clocks for a few days at least, hopefully.

It’s time to catch up on all that binge-watching you’ve been putting off since finals week.

Or, go to all those appointments you’ve finally had time to schedule.

Like, the dentist.

Or the hairstylist.

Or maybe just a regular check up.

You exchange gifts with friends and family for the holidays.

And listen to holiday music on repeat.

Then, it’s only a few more days to New Years!

You take the few days of 2016 you have left to make it the best you can. Maybe you go see a movie with your family or friends.

Maybe you go shopping with some of that holiday money you got, or to return some of the stuff that just didn’t work out.

Maybe you just spend time with the family you love.

On December 31, you reign in the New Year with a glass of champagne (or sparkling cider, if you’re underage).

Welcome 2017!

Well? Now what…? Either you start winter courses.

Or, maybe you have a job over break.

Or, maybe you’re just soaking up all the free time you can before the semester starts up again.

Before you know it, it’s January 30th, which means it’s time to come back to school and see your friends!

Happy break, everyone!
