Good Eats: What Restaurants To Try At Towson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

It is no secret that Towson is home to many amazing restaurants, cute cafes and bustling bars. With so many choices it can be a little overwhelming to find somewhere to eat. But no worries! Whether you’re in the mood for some great Indian Cusine or vegetarian food, I am here to help you out.

American Food:

Towson Hot Bagel & Deli: 16 Allegheny Avenue

Towson Hot Bagel “THB” is, in my opinion, one of Towson’s best and most popular restaurants. From sausage, egg and cheese on a sesame bagel to a Tom Selleck sandwhich, there’s a huge variety of good eating. The customer service is phenomenal and you get your food extremely fast. If you haven’t checked it out yet, please give their food a try. To see the menu, click here.

Towson Diner: 718 York Rd

Towson Diner is a really accessible and delcious place if you are in the mood for good breakfast or comfort food. You can get anything from a filling Eggs Benedict to a cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake (my personal favorite). The waiters are very friendly and the restuarant has a nice retro vibe to it. For 50 cents you can play songs from a jukebox at your table. For their menu click here.

Cedar Cafe: 246 Burke Ave

Cedar Cafe is nestled near Donnybrook Apartments. It offers spectacular Mediterranean Cusine from Hummus with Pita Bread to a Cedar Falafel Bowl — this quaint cafe has all of your middle eastern cravings. It offers free parking and a buffet every Friday from 5pm-8pm. Check out their menu here.

Kathmandu Kitchen: 22 Allegheny Ave

Kathmandu Kitchen is a little-known but amazing Indian restaurant. Whether you’re craving Naan bread or Tikka Masala you know you’re coming to the right place to get your fill. Check out the menu here.

Towson Best: 527 York Rd

The name says it all. This IS (in my opinion) Towson’s best place for Chinese. Towson’s best also has sushi! When your 9pm Chinese Food craving kicks in, you know who to call. Check out their menu here..

Pizans: 101 York Rd:

Known for its out of this world pizza and cooky workers, Pizans is sure to please. Want pizza after a long night out? No problem! Pizans is open until 3am. Check out the menu here.

Bb’s Cafe: 320 York Rd

Nestled away in the Towson Library is Bb’s Cafe. Voted the best coffee on Patches, you can’t go wrong. All of their Coffee and Teas are organic and Fair Trade. What more could you ask for.

La Cakerie: 11 Allegheny Ave

La Cakerie is a cute cafe in uptown. It has the best cupcakes. From pretzels, cookies, cupcakes — even ice cream — you can always get your sugar fix here. Check out La Cakerie’s website for the menu here.

Zias Cafe: 13 Allegheny Ave

Zias is a Cafe and Juice Bar Uptown. It offers vegan, paleo, gluten-free and raw options. Voted the Best Smoothies in Baltimore Magazine, you need to give it a try. Check out the menu here.
