Daily Struggles of Being Left-Handed
This list has been shortened because the problems of being left handed in a right-handed world are endless. Should I mention statistics show that left-handed people are more likely to die sooner than a right-handed person is? (The New York Times)
Most left-handed people adjust and get used to using right-handed items, but this list illustrates frequent issues that arise throughout the day.
Let’s begin…
1.)Â Â Â Writing with any utensil (e.g. dry erase maker, pen, pencil) will result in it smearing & getting on your hand
Â
2.)Â Â Â Individual desks are not meant for you
3.)Â Â Â Three ring binders are difficult because the rings are forever in the way
4.)   Having to think about where to sit for meals so you don’t bump into your right-handed family or friends
5.)Â Â Â Can openers. Many would not think they are are diffcult, but they are
6.)Â Â Â The stylus on the credit card machines are never long enoughÂ
Â
There are other inconveniences that affect us lefties, but as always, we will just have to adjust to this right-handed world. On a positive, at least there is a Left Handers’ Day. This year it is Thursday August 13
Let us end with pictures of left-handed celebrities because we all know the exciting feeling when we notice someone else who is left-handed!
1.)Â Â Â Angelina Jolie
2.)Â Â Â Oprah Winfrey
3.)Â Â Â Seth Rogen
