Who says you need to be in the ballroom to feel like you’re at Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)? With a little creativity (and a lot of sparkles), you can turn your own living room into the ultimate Dancing with the Stars watch party spot. Whether you’re a longtime fan or you just want an excuse to dress up, here’s how to host a night that deserves a perfect 10 for next Tuesday’s episode of DWTS.Ā

Set the Scene

Let’s transform your space into a mini version of the DWTS stage. Think fairy lights, gold confetti, and a disco ball twinkling in the corner. If you really want to impress, set up a ā€œjudges’ tableā€ with personalized name cards and cardboard score paddles ready for each dance.Ā  Bonus: hang a backdrop of gold streamers for those Insta-worthy mirrorball selfies!

Dress the Part

If Tuesday nights are for relaxing, then a PJ set is the way to go for this party. However, if you’re going all out, encourage everyone to dress according to the week’s DWTS theme. Disney Night? Princess gowns and mouse ears. Rock Night? Leather and dark makeup. ā€˜80s night? Neon all the way! Reward the ā€œmost on-themeā€ guest with a ribbon or trophy to add a little friendly competition.Ā

Snack the Show

The highlight of the party is the themed snacks! A proper watch party needs a show-stopping snack spread. Channel your inner Tom Bergeron and serve up pun-filled treats like:Ā

Add edible gold dust to drinks or desserts for a true ballroom shimmer.Ā Ā

Score Like a Judge

To really feel like you’re part of the show, print out DIY scorecards numbered 1 through 10 and let the guests play judge. You can also get whiteboard paddles on Ā Amazon to reuse each week! After each dance, have everyone reveal their score cards at the same time, compare your results to the real judges’, and see who can do the best Bruno impression.Ā

Friendly Bets and Prizes

Before the show starts, have each guest predict who will earn the first perfect 10, who will get the best score of the night, or who might get eliminated. Offer prizes for the most accurate predictions, like glitter tiaras, gold star stickers, or even mini mirrorball trophies!Ā

Vote Together

One of the best parts of live television is the real-time voting, which makes that DWTS magic happen. Teach your guests to vote online or by text, then cast your ballots together as a team. It’s a fun way to feel part of the action and cheer on your favourite stars.Ā Ā

Playlist EncoreĀ

When the final scores roll, keep the energy alive with a curated playlist of DWTS-inspired hits. Add those Latin beats and pop anthems, and have everyone add their favourite songs from the past seasons. The only real rule of a DWTS watch party is that everyone dances!Ā

Final Step: Strike a Pose

Before the night ends, don’t forget to take a group photo in front of your DWTS-themed backdrop. If there’s no photo, did the watch party even happen?Ā

So grab your sequins, shake your mocktails, and get ready to host your own perfect 10 party!

Live from your living room, it’s Dancing with the Stars night!
