As winter drags on, assignments pile up, and midterms draw near, university can get more than a little bit draining. Not to fear – Her Campus has got you covered with the top 5 campus spots to recharge, refocus, and re-watch your Netflix faves.

1. Faculty LoungesWhether you’re in sociology, science or the arts, be sure to ask around for any lounges specific to your program. Typical hours are 7 am to 1 am, and with entry only granted to those in your specific faculty, plenty of naps – er, studying are sure to happen. Take it from someone who made the arts lounge her personal home, you will not be disappointed. Please note though, that if you try to stay overnight, the janitors likely look at you like this:

2. Oakham CaféYou mean that room inside the Student Union building? Absolutely. Oakham café not only offers great food at an affordable price, but an incredibly cozy dining area. Complete with couches and a warm fire place, this is the perfect spot to curl up with a nice novel. Or your accounting textbook. …Although maybe not your boo, but you can’t have it all, can you?

3. The SLCDid someone say beach floor?? Ryerson’s newest student learning centre has been the talk around campus since it’s opening, and for good reason. With 8 magical floors all designed after a different nature settings (i.e: forest, sun, beach or sky) it’s the perfect place to get some work done, or just relaaaaax.

Yes, Phillip darling, it is that good.

4. Balzac’sWhat better way to get over the mid-day rush than a nice, warm café? Conveniently located right on campus, this homey spot is just as buttery and soft as their chocolate croissants. Mmmmmm. WHAT COULD BE BETTER THAN A COFFEE SHOP??

5. The QuadBreathtaking after the first snowfall, and even more so autumn, this scenic spot is a fabulous way to relax after a hard day of school. Grab thermos of cocoa to enjoy on the park bench, or watch the stars in the evening from the hill with your campus crush. Perfect to enjoy the first buddings of spring! Not to mention you can people-watch and enjoy hours of entertainment through the poor life choices of others.

Whether commuting or on res, these wonderful hotspots are a great way to cut the stress, and enjoy all that your campus has to offer.
