Although I really love the outdoors, I have found that generally studying outside in the common places around campus like the Main Mall or outside of The Union can be distracting and loud for getting work done. Recently a friend of mine showed me this courtyard in the Welch building. Being a Biology major who spends an unusually large amount of time in Welch, I was surprised I had not heard about it. Not only is this courtyard quiet and peaceful, but it is also very beautiful. When the weather is warm, it even has little waterfalls around the studying tables. Somewhat hidden and never crowded, this courtyard can be found by going up the stairs in the hallway separating the two main buildings of Welch on the ground floor. If you want a quiet peaceful place to relax or do work, this courtyard is perfect!
