Top 6 Places to Find Plenty of Pumpkin

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Texas chapter.

Fellow Longhorns have been expressing their love and excitement for Fall all over Twitter and Facebook. We’re done with the heat draining us and through with sweating from just a five minute walk to the SAC from Burdine. We’re ready for the colder weather; in fact we’re begging for it! Those boots in our closet have been resting for way too long, and all our sweaters are ready to be worn.

The weather can fool us for just a little bit longer, but Fall is right around the corner Collegiettes! We’re starting to see the signs: clearances and sales at a few shopping centers are getting rid of the old and the racks are being filled with jeans and cardigans instead of tanks and shorts.

Another sign is the Fall specials on the menus of some of our favorite eateries. Not any kind of special, but the Pumpkin-kind! Yes, that’s right. It’s that time of the year again where pumpkin-flavored everything is appearing to be available all around Austin. Time to get your cravings fulfilled, ladies! Pumpkin is back for another few months and we’ve saved you the trouble by finding a few places you can find ‘pumpkin delectables.’

Starbucks – Pumpkin Spice Latte

This is an obvious one. What’s fall without this seasonal drink? Everyone and anyone who loves the brisk autumn air, crunchy fallen leaves and layering up with scarves and sweaters await the arrival of this sweet, pumpkin-flavored, hot latte. Just a whiff of it is comparable to a breath of fresh air.

Jamba Juice – Pumpkin Smash Smoothie

If you’re not much of a hot-drink drinker, there’s a Jamba Juice right on the Drag that can make you a pumpkin smoothie. Okay, the name might not sound that appealing, but you might end up liking it. Made from pureed pumpkin, soy milk and vanilla froyo, it’s a drink that will cool you off on our Texas Fall days.

Kerbey Lane Café – Pumpkin Pancakes

To get your pumpkin fix at any time of the day, Kerbey Lane Café is opened to serve you their Pumpkin Pancakes. A seasonal favorite of all pumpkin-lovers, which is not hard to tell why, Kerbey Lane has made it more accessible for customers to enjoy fluffy pancakes in the comfort of their home by packaging their Pumpkin Pancake Mix in a bag. These bags can be bought online for $4.99

Hey Cupcake! – Pumpkinator

The Pumpkinator is the perfect cupcake to fulfill your pumpkin needs. With graham cracker cream cheese on top and pumpkin spice cake, this cupcake would be the perfect dessert to any meal.

The Upper Crust Bakery – Pumpkin Pie

More of a drive up north, Upper Crust Bakery located on Burnet Rd has their seasonal homemade pumpkin pies to offer every Fall. Nothing but good reviews on Yelp, this pie is worth the drive and worth the money.

Amy’s Ice Cream – Pumpkin Ice Cream, Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream & Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream

Want your pumpkin served cold? No problem. Amy’s Ice Cream serves three different types of creamy pumpkin flavors.
