Oh collegiettes, it’s that time of the semester again- the first round of exams. Our first tests can make or break our experience in a class, and how well we do will set the tone for the next few months.
My first few semesters I stuck to a routine for studying. I went to the same place at the same time each day. It never occurred to me to shake things up a bit and go outside of my routine. This semester, I made the decision to try a bunch of different locations to add some spice to my studying schedule. And as I saw more and more of my fellow Longhorns toting books around campus, I took note of some of the hot spots on and near campus.
The PCL (PCL Quiet Floor)
This used to be my go-to spot. I’d hole myself up for hours at a time on one of the quiet floors. If you’re into a really quiet environment while studying, the third, fourth, and sixth floors are the places to go. Don’t dig the silence? Check out the group-study fifth floor.
Outside (Stone Bench)
This hasn’t worked out too well for me recently. It’s been too hot and I get distracted by people walking by. Not good.
In bed (Dorm Room)
I’m the first to admit it: I’m not too productive studying in bed. The reasons are probably obvious.
A Café, like Mozart’s (Mozart’s)
Aside from being absolutely beautiful, it’s just nice to get away from school for a while. Agreed?
