If anyone has done it all, it’s Plan II and Business Honors freshman Holland Finley. As an avid wakeboarder in high school, Holland has spent much of her last four years competing. Her senior year in high school, she flew to South Korea as part of the U.S. wakeboarding team, where she competed against girls all over the world to claim her title as World Champion. Currently, she is part of the UT wakeboarding team. She and the team are preparing to defend their title at next week’s National Collegiate Championship in Long Beach, California. Holland began the year as a member of Texas Cheer, but then realized she could not commit because she prioritized her academic success.

As evident through her involvement on campus, Holland is extremely passionate about academia. She is a member of the Honors Business Association, the Plan II Student Association, the Plan II Business Association, the Texas chapter of the Tri Delta Sorority, and the Texas Order of Omega. Holland is a strong believer in philanthropy and volunteers every week at a gymnastics class for kids with disabilities. She is the up and coming Public Relations VP for a new organization on campus called Students in Free Enterprise. She is excited to work with SIFE and make an impact on the community through the positive power of business.

After Holland graduates, she hopes to continue her education by attending law school. She aspires to be a Rhode Scholar, a prestigious honor bestowed upon the world’s best graduate students. After finishing school, she hopes to either work as an attorney in sports law or work with Austin Ventures capitalists. Holland’s dream job is to manage a charity fund for a major corporation.
