I have a pretty casual sense of style. Comfort reigns supreme when I’m leaving the house, but I’ve realized that just because I wear leggings or t-shirts doesn’t mean I can’t look put together and polished. Below are some tips I’ve picked up along the way that help me to look more put together, but that won’t break your budget!

Stud Earrings

I cannot logically explain it, but putting on a simple pair of stud earrings can instantly make you look as if you put more effort into your look than you did. Go classic with a pair of pearl earrings or make it slightly edgier with silver studs! Check out this set from Forever 21 that’s only $6.99!

Headband

It’s not often I skip putting my hair in a ponytail or messy bun. Another easy way to elevate your look is by adding a headband. This helps keep your hair out of your face and just adds an extra element of style. Go for a plain headband or get something with pizazz!

My head is big, so a bunch of headbands either hurt or don’t stay on. THIS headband is awesome because you shape it to your head. Get it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for ONLY $2.99!

Denim Jacket

Denim jackets are a classic, never go out of style wardrobe accessory that I think almost every girl should have. Honestly, I get so many compliments every time I throw a jean jacket on, I’m wondering why more people don’t wear them. I usually wear the traditional blue, but really any color can help pull your look together! Here’s a great classic jacket for $25 at Old Navy; I recommend you wait for sales though! I was able to get two jackets for fifteen bucks a piece on sale!

Kimono

Okay, so with the Texas heat looming, a denim jacket might be a little warm. My next go-to style piece is a kimono. Get a fun print to pair with solids and jeans or go more classic with a solid colored kimono! Either way, this is a nice way to again pull your look together! Here’s a solid black one for under $15!

Shoes

Since I’m so casual, I live in tennis shoes, but my Asics don’t always translate to put together chick. I also have high-arches so I need a lot of support. Here comes Amazon to save the day… for around $20, these slip-on shoes are comfortable and reasonably supportive. These may not be ideal for wandering around Disney World, but they work well enough for a few hours a day on the 40 acres. I have them in leopard print, but they come in a variety of styles!

I hope these style tips help you feel a little more stylish if you’re a casual dresser like me!
